Rock Bottom Remainders Tour Concludes

Along with the Rock Bottom Remainders, we announced today the successful conclusion of last week's four-city 2010 Wordstock Concert Tour, which raised money for Haitian relief in conjunction with humanitarian organization World Vision. The rock and roll caravan, which included performances in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston, also helped to introduce our new We Give Books literacy initiative.

We Give Books enables anyone with access to the internet to put books in the hands of children who don't have them, simply by reading online. The free website gives parents, care-givers, and educators immediate access to a growing digital collection of Penguin's classic children's literature. For every book read online, the Pearson Foundation donates a hard-cover or paperback book to a child in need, in partnership with an exemplary literacy organization.
